I went to the Walgreens located at 6330 S. Martin L. King Dr. today to purchase some cough medicine. I had my son with me. I had just picked him up from school so he had his bookbag on. I went to the back and to get my cough medicine while my son was in the toy aisle. I heard the store manager till my son that he needed to take his bookbag to the front and leave it with the cashier. When I approach the store manager and ask him why he tells me that this is store policy. I have lived in this neighborhood for 46 years and have always shop at this Walgreens. This has never been a store policy. This is not what made me mad. Only in a Black neighborhood is this a policy in our neighborhoods. Go into almost any store and you are required to leave your bag at the front with a store representative. And the Black stores wonder why we shop in other neighborhoods. I refuse to give my money to stores that has this policy. Walgreens on 63rd & King Dr. has just lost my business.
